Biography
Carlos Aguiar holds a Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration and a Master´s degree in Public Administration (thesis: Plan for the use of renewable energy in the generation of electricity in the State of Sonora). His primary research interest includes energy policy, planning, renewable energy, the use of clean technologies in the power sector.
He had worked in planning documents for the energy sector in the Arizona-Sonora Region (Sonora Energy Road Map, Arizona-Sonora Megaregion Energy Strategic Route, and the Binational Electricity Transmission Opportunities for Arizona and Sonora), as part of his role of Delegate of the Energy Committee of the Arizona-Mexico Commission, likewise he created strategies to attract investments for the renewable energy sector, based on the technological, social, environmental and economic impacts to the energy sector.
